For those that missed my discord announcements update:
Looks like I got sniped by another group. Womp womp. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can't be too mad though, since none of this belongs to me, I'll be the first to admit. But it does put a damper on my motivation (just a tad bit) to continue right around when the next chapter (this one) was about to drop, making me feel like all the work I've done was for nothing.
The other group is using the free, lower-resolution Web-raws...whereas I'm using the higher
quality tankoubon volumes raws (that I actually buy and rip myself), which have updated
corrections and added details from the manga artist. And the e-begging for hundred$ saying it's to pay for raws or translators? Quite the laughable joke. Seriously though...Save your money; you're getting ripped off if you're paying to "sponsor" this from them... especially when their releases have a lot of "liberties" taken, if I'm being generous, and a half-assed cleaning job at that.
Side Note: I recently learned mangadex has a group “Block” feature...that’ll come in very handy.
I do all this shit for free, and any amount, peanuts or otherwise that people want to throw my way out of gratitude, is entirely up to the people.
I'll continue this series at my own pace regardless, the same way I've always had, focusing on high quality and accuracy, over quantity/speed which always results in low quality. Those who've been along with me since the beginning will know this was my entire raison d'êtree for starting Hairy Wizardz Translations in the first place.
I'm NOT dropping this, unless it ever gets officially licensed in English...so long as it doesn’t turn into a censored "localized" mess full of mistranslations. Hell, publishers can even use my releases word-for-word, and don’t have to pay me a dime. I'm doing this mostly for my own enjoyment and self-satisfaction anyway, wanting to read this in the best way possible, and simply sharing it after the fact.
Any other groups can do whatever they want, because if you get 10 different translators, you'll get 10 different translations. So I ain't going anywhere. Win-win for the readers, who now have more choices of eating junk fast food or waiting for the premium grilled steak.
Also, thanks to everyone that has been following my releases on my Discord and their kind words, I really appreciate it.
