Takarakuji Vol. 4, Ch. 20

Vol. 4 Ch. 20 - Valetta's Resolve

It's finally here! And I'm tired AF...Read the TL Note at the end of the chapter to find out why, because the cough/cold medicine is making me drowsy...

Next chapter is a short bonus (omake) that will be released soon™, probably tomorrow.

  2. Thanks for translating this series, is fun to read in English. Rest the brain some from the work of translating the Japanese.

I see you updated the note for the fight on page 138. Looking at the aftermath of the fight is appears that his sword hit her in the bicep/elbow area this caused the arm she was using to thrust the spear with to go numb and she dropped it. The front arm on the spear is used to guide the strikes and the back arm is used for the power of the thrust after all. After losing strength in her left arm she dropped the spear from her right hand and punch him.

Issac is taken aback at her condition after the fight because he had panicked and hit her with his full force on her arm, normally this would break a bone or cause injury, even with a practice weapon. However she is just fine. The sound effect "kero" at the bottom of page 141 is used to show how well she is feeling. "kero kero" is the cry of a happy frog in the rain, a single "kero" is used to denote when someone is feeling just chipper or in good spirits. Considering Issac had hit her with his full force, even with a training weapon she should have been in some amount of pain and injury but she was not feeling any real pain and had suffered no serious injury.

I have to wonder if she even bruised.
